Three adults in Jamestown face numerous charges following an investigation into unruly juveniles on the city's east side early Wednesday. Jamestown Police were called to an undisclosed address at about 2:45 AM for a report of two minors in the area attacking people and smashing out windows on the residence. Officers quickly made contact them in part to numerous complaints and previous dealings with them. While that was happening, an additional group of three juveniles were out in a city street after curfew and allegedly refused to comply with numerous warnings to leave the area and return home. As police took the two minors from the previous incident into custody, the other three allegedly began approaching patrol vehicles and were trying to open the doors. Officers say the three failed to comply with their warning to return home, and they were being taken into custody when one of them tried to flee and then tried to strike an officer before being apprehended. According to police, the investigation determined that 44-year-old William Morse, Sr. and 38-year-old Katherine Morse were failing to exercise control of their child, who is allegedly continuously located committed crimes before and after curfew hours. The two parents were charged with a curfew violation and endangering the welfare of a child. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Mercedes Baca was allegedly found to be in charge of four juveniles, all of whom she failed to exercise control over. She was charged with four curfew violations and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child; officers say she also failed to exercise control over her child who is also allegedly continuously located committing crimes before and after curfew. All three parents were held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The five minors were all released with charges pending.
