A Jamestown woman who was taken into custody on an active warrant at a hotel in Falconer is alleged to have fled on foot out of the hotel and into a wooded area while still in handcuffs. Ellicott Town Police conducted a warrant check at the unspecified hotel just before 11:00 AM Sunday. Officers say they located 41-year-old Jasmine Calloway shortly after she ran from the hotel and arrested her. Calloway has been charged with 2nd-degree escape, 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and two counts of petit larceny. She is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail on $10,000 bail and will answer her charges in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.
