An 18-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested after allegedly stealing a truck and crashing it into a ditch in the Town of Busti Tuesday morning. Lakewood-Busti Police were called to the scene on Busti-Sugar Grove Road just before 6:30 AM and found the truck. Officers say the unidentified individual appeared to be drunk, and they also determined that the person allegedly stole the vehicle from a resident of the Town of Busti. The suspect was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or higher), 4th-degree grand larceny, 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, 4th-degree criminal mischief, unregistered motor vehicle, and unlicensed operation. Officers issued the 18-year-old appearance tickets for Busti Town Court.
