A $1 million paving project for Lake Shore Drive in the City of Dunkirk will get underway on Thursday. According to the Dunkirk Police Department, milling will take place on that road on Thursday and Friday and will continue on Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th. Paving will then start the following day. The project, which is being undertaken by the New York State Department of Transportation, will also include the addition of ADA-compliant ramps in the crosswalks. Police add that the scheduled days for milling are weather-dependent.
