Saturday marked the first time the Buffalo Bills and their fans got a taste of a game day experience at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. The fans had plenty to cheer about, as the Bills defeated the Carolina Panthers 29-14 to begin their preseason.
Buffalo was in control from start to finish, with the starters and backups impressing on both sides of the ball. Josh Allen led two scoring drives in the 1st quarter, completing six out of eight passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, with new wide receiver D.J. Moore accounting for 61 of those yards. Defensively, the Bills surrendered just 60 yards in the first half and did not allow a first down until late in the half, as the team took a 13-7 lead into the break. A field goal extended that lead in the 3rd quarter, and the Bills added rushing touchdowns from Ian Wheeler and Frank Gore in the 4th quarter.

The Bills outgained the Panthers 396-201 yards in total offense, while the defense registered four sacks and an interception.
Next Saturday, the Bills will hit the road to face the Cleveland Browns in their second preseason contest.
