A Dunkirk man is facing drug and weapon charges as the result of a traffic stop in the city Saturday evening. Dunkirk Police pulled over a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Christopher Rosado at about 6:30 PM. Officers say Rosado had a valid arrest warrant, and as he was being taken into custody, they recovered a loaded pistol. They add that a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 3.8 grams of cocaine, packaging material, and a scale. Rosado was transported to Dunkirk Police headquarters to be held for arraignment on charges of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic tickets.
