A man from Tennessee died from injuries he suffered in a tractor-trailer crash Monday night on I-90 in the Town of Hanover. First responders from the Bay Creek Fire District were called to the area of milepost 457.8 in the eastbound lanes at about 8:45 PM and saw the vehicle in the median guide rail. State Police from the SP Buffalo barracks responded more than one hour later. Troopers say the driver -- identified as 54-year-old Petros Liben of Bartlett, Tennessee -- had injuries to his face and abdomen. He was later flown to ECMC, where he succumbed to his injuries. The State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, Collision Reconstruction Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation were on scene, as well as the State DEC Spill Response Unit.
