Two Fredonia residents are facing child endangerment charges after an investigation into a report of an unsupervised child in the village. Fredonia Police say they were notified about the child in the area of Eagle Street and Orchard Street at about 10:15 AM on August 10th. Officers responded and found two children, ages 2 and 3, trying to cross the street without adult supervision. 25-year-old Michaela Gilbert and 20-year-old Genesis Finley allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision, placing both children at risk of harm. Police say the toddlers were safely returned home and were uninjured during the incident. Gilbert and Finley were each charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and are scheduled to appear in Fredonia Village Court at a later date.
