The City of Dunkirk DPW will not be conducting its previously scheduled curbside brush pickup for September because it is not funded. Mayor Kate Wdowiasz made the announcement during this week's Common Council meeting. However, city residents will be able to drop off brush at the DPW's West Lucas Avenue site Monday, September 28th through Friday, October 2nd from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM; and on Saturday, October 3rd from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Those dropping off their brush must show proof of Dunkirk residency. Brush, limbs, leaves and grass clippings only will be accepted during drop off. Trees/logs will not be accepted.
