The Jamestown native who's in charge of the National Football League has agreed to a four-year contract extension. The NFL announced Sunday that the extension for Commissioner Roger Goodell runs through March 2031 and comes with negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement and broadcasting deals forthcoming, along with a potential move to an 18-game season. Goodell became the league's eighth full-time commissioner in 2006, succeeding Paul Tagliabue. His career in the NFL began in 1982 as an administrative intern in the league office, serving then-Commissioner Pete Rozelle.
