Slight Severe Weather Risk Across Western Southern Tier

Severe weather could return to Western New York on Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected across the region through the evening, and a few storms may become severe. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has part of Western New York, including the entire western Southern Tier, under a slight severe weather risk. An isolated tornado is also a possibility. However, forecasters say conditions will be less volatile than they were a week ago, when multiple tornadoes broke out across Western New York.
