Fredonia Mayor Weighs In on Proposal for Flock Camera Monitoring Group

Fredonia Mayor Mike Ferguson is giving Chautauqua County's top prosecutor credit for coming up with a potential solution in response to concerns about the presence of Flock cameras. Ferguson, who was a guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Friday, was asked about District Attorney Jason Schmidt's proposal for a countywide monitoring group that would aim to protect against abuses of Flock's open network. He says that system is not perfect by any means...

Schmidt announced his proposal for a monitoring group days after speaking about Flock cameras during a Fredonia Village Board meeting. His office has contracted with Flock to place 10 of their cameras in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area.
