A Dunkirk woman is facing a number of charges following a vehicle pursuit over the weekend. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say the pursuit began at about 3:00 AM Sunday when 52-year-old Susan Lilly, who had an active arrest warrant, failed to comply with an attempted traffic stop by the Dunkirk Police Department. That prompted the pursuit, which moved through multiple jurisdictions and involved multiple law enforcement agencies. According to the Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was eventually forced to stop in the area of Route 60 and Luce Road in the Town of Charlotte. Lilly was taken into custody without incident and charged with 3rd-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to comply with a lawful order, and reckless driving. She will appear on those, and other charges, in Pomfret Town Court at a later date. The Fredonia Police Department, State Police from the SP Fredonia barracks, and a State Police K-9 unit from Jamestown also assisted.
