A Jamestown man faces charges after he was allegedly seen throwing trash and other objects into a roadway Sunday evening. Jamestown Police responded to a report of a disorderly male on the city's north side shortly after 8:15 PM and allegedly saw 41-year-old Michael Hetrick throwing refuse and other items from a truck into the road. According to officers, Hetrick was given several commands to stop, but refused. He was then told he was going to be ticketed for littering. Hetrick then began to walk away from officers, but they caught up to him and took him into custody after a brief struggle. Hetrick was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with resisting arrest and obstruction, along with City Code violations of littering and refusal to remove garbage/junk from the roadway.
