A Frewsburg man has been taken into custody as the result of an investigation into suspected online exploitation of children in the south county. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says the probe that began in 2025 alleges that 29-year-old Grey Snyder directed, promoted, and received obscene sexual performances of children via online applications. The Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant on Main Street in Frewsburg at about 7:00 AM Friday. During the search, multiple devices were seized for later examination. Snyder was taken into custody on scene and is charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, and disseminating indecent materials to minors. He was later taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and remanded on $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 property bond. The case is still being actively invested by the Sheriff's Office and federal agencies, and additional charges are believed to follow. Any who has information regarding Snyder's alleged illegal behavior is asked to call the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office at (716) 753-4921.
