The City of Jamestown planted five new trees last Tuesday to celebrate Arbor Day. City officials gathered to plant the trees between the two pedestrian bridges along the north shore of the Riverwalk. The planting included three Red Maples and two Serviceberry trees, adding to the Riverwalk's natural beauty of the Riverwalk and contributing to the city's ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance its urban tree canopy. The trees were donated by a city resident. Tuesday's ceremony was also held in recognition of the city's 45 years as a Tree City USA.
