A man in the Town of French Creek was taken into custody after a report of an altercation early Tuesday afternoon. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies and State Police in Jamestown responded to an address on Cherry Hill Road shortly after 12:00 PM. Deputies allege that an investigation found that 49-year-old Ricky Waltenbaugh damaged property that did not belong to him. Waltenbaugh was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment on a charge of 4th-degree criminal mischief.
