No one was hurt, but there was some significant damage when a car struck the back of a tractor-trailer on West Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood early Friday afternoon. Chautauqua County dispatchers say Lakewood-Busti Police were called to the scene between Laurel Avenue and Oak Avenue at about 12:45 PM. Details of the accident were not available, but the car had to be taken from the scene on a flatbed truck. Fire crews had to clean up some fluids at the scene as well. The tractor-trailer had some rear-end damage to the trailer. There is no word on any charges. West Fairmount Avenue was down to one-lane in the area while the scene was cleared.
