Angeline S. Anderson

Angeline S. Anderson, 93, of Dunkirk died Friday morning, May 10, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born April 15, 1920 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Hattie (Stefaniak) Konwinski.

Mrs. Anderson was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. After graduating from the State Teachers College at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Education degree in June 1942, Angeline began her teaching career in Portville, NY. She later taught at St. Mary's School in Dunkirk, where she was a lifelong resident, wife, mother and homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Jack E. (Christine) Anderson of Mechanicsburg, PA and Robert W. (Joanne) Anderson of Washington, PA; one sister, Henrietta Borowski of Dunkirk; one brother, Dr. Edward Konwinski of Bradford, PA; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Rosanna) Anderson, Danielle Anderson, Jamie (Matthew) Warzel, Maurisa (Thomas) Havrilla, and Joni Anderson; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Anderson, who died July 29, 1998; two brothers, Clement Konwinski and Richard Konwinski; and one sister, Mildred Rutkowski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
