Daniel E. Schimek, 69, a cement mason for Schimek Concrete, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home on South Road in Cherry Creek surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 22, 1944 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Eugene and Gloria (Lake) Schimek.
Dan was a member of the Cement Masons Local 111, Buffalo, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. Morgat Schimek, whom he married in Buffalo on September 22, 1962 of Cherry Creek, NY, two sons: James M. (Denise) Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, Christopher E. (Janet) Schimek of South Lake, TX, two daughters: Jocelyn (Martin) Logan of Webster, NY, Nicole K. Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, six grandsons: James A. Schimek of Gasport, NY, Michael C. Schimek of Webster, NY, Anthony Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, John Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, Ryan Schimek of South Lake, TX, Kristopher Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, six granddaughters; Autumn M. Schimek of South Dayton, NY, Danielle Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, Jane Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, Kristina Schimek of Cherry Creek, NY, Taylor Schimek of South Lake, TX, Alexis Logan of Webster, NY, two great-granddaughters; Jillian Schimek of Gasport, NY, Summer Comstock of South Dayton, NY, a great grandson, Maxwell Schimek of Webster, NY, two sisters; Pamela Moratto of Cheektowaga, NY, Bonnie Thomas of North Tonawanda, NY, and a brother Michael Cupo of Tampa, FL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Schimek; his two sisters, Yvonne Martina, and Karan Morningstar; and his brother, James Schimek.
