Cynthia Elliott, 60, of Miller Road in Arkwright died on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. She was born in Gowanda on March 17, 1966, the daughter of the late Clement and Judy (Gabel) Popielarz, Jr.
Cindy was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1984 and received her Associate's degree in computer science from Jamestown Community College in 1999. She worked as a loan officer for Lake Shore Savings & Loan in Dunkirk. Cindy enjoyed hand-sewing quilts and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Eric Elliott of Arkwright, whom she married on December 29, 1990 in her parents' house in the Town of Arkwright; a daughter, Erica (Joseph) Baker of Great Valley; a son, Cody Elliott of Arkwright; three sisters, Charlene Greene, Tamela Griffen and Victoria Jackson; a brother, Mark Popielarz; and two grandchildren, Michael and Gabriel Baker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorials may be made either to the Forestville Fire Department, Inc., PO Box 299, Forestville, NY 14062; or the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 226, Cassadaga, NY 14718.
