Leanna J. Pierce

Leanna J. "Wig" Pierce, 71, of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, Bear Clan, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 in the Erie County Medical Center. She was born on August 31, 1954.

She was the loving companion of the late Urbino Caraballo; loving mother of Tory (Steve O.) Caraballo-Cook, Desmond Cooper and Landon LaShomb; sister of Andrew Golden, Marilyn Jimerson, the late Marlene Kennedy, Patricia Quinn and James Golden, Sr.; and cherished grandmother of Lil Stevie and Lil Tory Cook.

Leanna was the first woman Peacemaker-Judge for the Seneca Nation of Indians. She was a very active member of the Iroquois Post 1587 Ladies Auxiliary, a foster parent, and an advocate for seniors.

Services were held on Thursday, June 25 at the Addison Funeral Home, 262 North Main Street in Angola. She was interred in the Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Irving.
