Jeffrey R. Korbar, age 62, of Gowanda passed away at home Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born in Gowanda on November 19, 1963, the son of Joseph and Sandra (Schunk) Korbar.
Jeffrey worked at Spartan Warehouse in Gowanda prior to his death; he delivered parts to many farms and companies in the Western New York area. After graduating from Gowanda Central School, Jeffrey enlisted with the United States Navy.
Survivors include his mother, T. Sandra Korbar of Gowanda; his father, Joseph (Bonnie Drodz) Korbar of Cattaraugus; children, Jeffrey Sines of Portsmouth, VA and Jessica Korbar of Versailles; grandchildren, Brileigh, Aubree and Laney; his siblings, Joseph Korbar of Gowanda, James Korbar of Corning, AR, John Korbar of Gowanda and Jacquelyn (Danny) Spear of Dawsonville, GA; his aunt, Janice Schunk of Gowanda; and his uncle, Jerry Schunk of Cocoa Beach, FL. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; along with his son, Richard Miller, who passed away on January 15, 2017.
Friends may call on Friday, August 28 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center Street in Gowanda, where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a local charity of one's choice.
