James A. Ryczko, 76, of Dunkirk passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Born in Dunkirk on October 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Bresolin) Ryczko.
A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, James graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1967. He dedicated 40 years working as a production worker at Dunkirk Radiator before his retirement. He also proudly served his country for seven years as a member of the National Guard.
James was an avid sports fan and was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and New York Yankees. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and the memories they shared together.
He is survived by his sister, Janice (Daniel Sr.) Hartman and his brother, David (Patricia) Ryczko; nieces and nephews, Angela Ruhlig, Daniel Hartman, Jr., Karen Winnie, Mary Ryczko and Kimberly Ryczko; and multiple great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 20 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue in Dunkirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 21 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 1032 Central Avenue in Dunkirk. Interment will be held in Holy Trinity Cemetery Columbarium.
