Richard C. "Dixie" Carlson, 73, of Bennett State Road in Forestville died on Monday, October 19, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Kane, PA on December 29, 1952, son of the late Curtis and Margaret (Washburn) Carlson.
Dixie was a graduate of Kane Area High School, Class of 1971. He worked as a maintenance man for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Silver Creek and previously for Jamestown Public Schools. Dixie was a member of the Silver Creek Senior Center. He enjoyed building and working with miniatures and loved playing in the dirt.
Survivors include two brothers, Steve (Beverly) Carlson of Akron and Dave (Judith) Carlson of Kane, PA; his best friend, Chester Yusczyk of Forestville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother, Donald Carlson.
There will be no funeral services observed.
