Lisa Ellen Mansfield, 65, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was born on April 11, 1961 in Cherry Creek to the late Frank and Mary Jane (Nobles) Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was predeceased by her stepmother, Janet Fox Mansfield; siblings, Zack Mansfield, Susan (Mansfield) Rayl and Robert Rayl; niece, Shannon Rayl; Harroun), as well as Steven Mansfield, Jeffrey Condon and Lynette Mansfield Besse. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Dean Brown; siblings, Jack Condon (Amber Condon), Jennifer Condon Wadsworth (Keith Wadsworth) and Annie Mansfield Thompson; (Phil Harrington) and sister-in-law, Melodee Mansfield.
In early years, Lisa participated in dance lessons, 4-H, and horse shows (with the help of Bill Young). She would do things like (somehow) make clogs for her shoes out of wood and tools from Dad's workbench. She also did beautiful needlepoint.
Lisa was a very intelligent woman, having a very high reading ability at a young age (Dad said that it was probably from reading all the comic books in the drug store). Lisa worked the most of all the kids in her dad's store, Mansfield's Drug Store. She earned a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in education. She worked as a substitute teacher at Pine Valley Central School and worked as a nursery school teacher in Jamestown. She also worked at Cockaigne Ski Resort in the ski rental department for many years.
Lisa was also a caring, beloved aunt. She had many nephews and nieces through her and Dean's families. Her nephews, Cory and Brett Thompson and Frank Besse were the nephews that lived close enough to her to be able to enjoy her babysitting, love, and lovely presents from her. Lisa also aided in the care for her niece, Shannon and nephew, Rob Rayl after they lost their Dad.
Lisa also had an uncanny wit. Whether it was siting around a dining room table, or with a group at a campfire, she would very frequently, be the one that came up with the "best one-liner" of the evening (It might be the, almost, only thing that she said during the evening, but it always got the best laugh!).
We are all so grateful for Lisa being in our lives. We are sending our love to her as she joins her loved ones in heaven, waiting to greet her.
