Saturday Sports Update
Top left: Fredonia-Westfield-Brocton running back Joell Lozano finds running room to the outside during Friday night's homecoming/senior night game against Springville at Brocton's Memorial Field. Lozano ran for 27 yards and a touchdown, all on one time-consuming drive in the first half. In a game where points were at a premium, Lozano's score was crucial in getting FWB's offense going, as the Badgers defeated the Griffins 16-8. Photo by the Observer
Top right: Devaun Farnham needed to make big plays at Southwestern on Friday, and did he ever. Farnham, who filled in for injured starting quarterback Jazzy Rivera, ran for three touchdowns on the night and broke off two huge runs in the 4th quarter to help rally the Marauders to a 34-28 victory over the Trojans. Dunkirk is now 5-0 and will face fellow unbeaten team Albion next week to determine the Class B-2 division champion. Photo by the Post-Journal

Penhollow ran for 64 yards on 22 carries for the Golden Cougars and added 14 tackles and a sack on defense. However, it wasn't enough, as Silver Creek prevailed 13-7 at Bill Race Field. Bottom right: The Buffalo Bills will need to be at full strength defensively to cope with the high-octane offense of the Atlanta Falcons, and the news Friday was not all good. Outside linebacker Shaq Lawson is listed as a game-time decision with a groin injury. However, the Bills are expected to see linemen Marcell Dareus and Jerel Worthy return to action.
