Saturday Sports Update

Top: It's the night that Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting all week for...Wild Card Saturday!  The Buffalo Bills will square off against the New England Patriots in what will be the third meeting of the season between the two AFC East rivals.  The two teams split their two matchups during the regular season, with the Patriots taking the first meeting 14-10 on December 6th and the Bills victorious in the second meeting 33-21 three weeks later.  Bitterly cold wind chills will be a factor, as these two franchises face each other in postseason play for the first time since 1963.  Tune in to WDOE (94.9 FM/101.5 FM/1410 AM), with kickoff from Highmark Stadium at 8:15 PM!

Bottom: While Buffalo's two starting safeties, to the surprise of many, were not named to this year's AFC Pro Bowl roster, the duo of Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde did gain recognition elsewhere.  On Friday, Poyer (left) and Hyde (right) were both named Associated Press All-Pros for the 2021 season, with Poyer named a First Team All-Pro, receiving 12 votes from a national panel of 50 media members.  Meanwhile, Hyde earned Second-Team All-Pro Honors, getting 10 votes.
