An investigation into the theft of aluminum wire from the Town of Westfield has resulted in two arrests. On July 4th, county sheriff's officers began the investigation into a large spool of aluminum wire that was stolen from Forest Park that was going to be used for an upcoming project. Deputies determined that 33-year-old Matthew Jaynes and 36-year-old Leonard Erhard of Ripley stole the wire from the park before the project was started. Both Jaynes and Erhard were charged with 4th-degree grand larceny and will appear in Westfield Town Court at a later date.
