Dedication ceremony schedule for revamped Whispering Giant

He has spent several weeks on renovating his work of art and next Tuesday, Peter Wolf Toth will take off the wraps on his revamped statue the Whispering Giant. A dedication of the statue will be take place Tuesday, August 5th at 6pm. Toth traveled from his home in Florida earlier this month to see what could be done to save the statue in Dunkirk.  During an interview with WDOE News on July 10th, Toth spoke about the restoration efforts and that he planned to include additional support for the four decade old wooden statue.

Toth-Will use extra support

According to local businesswoman Gina Kron, the dedication will take place at the original site next to the city's water treatment plant on Lake Shore Drive West.
