The Dunkirk-Fredonia high school club hockey team, which won a state championship this season, was honored during its awards banquet last Saturday at the Fredonia Beaver Club. The Steelers finished the season with a 17-1 record, which included a 4-1 victory against Iroquois in the state championship game in Jamestown. State Senator Cathy Young provided the players and coaches with State Senate proclamations honoring their championship. Assemblyman Andrew Goodell and Dunkirk Mayor Willie Rosas were also on hand.
