A prisoner from Panama who was being transported to the Chautauqua County Jail will appear in court on two charges after nearly escaping custody. County sheriff's deputies were transporting several prisoners late Wednesday afternoon, when 36-year-old Jzon Loverme managed to free one of his hands from the temporary wrist restraints. Deputies arrived at the jail and were able to secure Loverme with assistance from corrections officers. Loverme was arraigned today on charges of 2nd-degree obstruction and 3rd-degree attempted escape, then was committed to the county jail on $1,000 cash bail.
