Aloysius J. Graminski

Aloyoius J. Graminski, 93, of Dunkirk passed away Thursday morning, April 10, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 29, 1921 in Dunkirk, son of the late John and Theresa (Dudek) Graminski.

Aloysius retired from Al-Tech Specialty Steel in 1982 after 43 years of service.

Memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig, where he belonged to the ushers, Holy Name Society, and Sacred Heart Society, Kosciuszko Polish Home and an honorary member of the Dunkirk Falcon Club (Fourth Ward Falcons).

Surviving are his wife Wanda (Kucmierz) Graminski who he married on August 2, 1980; four nieces Marie (Gary) Scott of Tonawanda, Barbara (the late Harold) Larson and Pauline (Joseph) Wisniewski both of Dunkirk, and Theresa "Tess" Graminski of Buffalo. Nephews Jim and Thomas Kostanciak of Elba, NY.

In addition to his parents Aloysius was predeceased by his brothers Edwin and Harry Graminski and sister Clara Kostanciak.

Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Burial will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dunkirk.

Flowers are greatfully declined donations can be made to St. Hedwig Cemetery.
