James B. "Jamie" Buckley, Jr., age 64, of Forestville, N.Y. died Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
Jamie was born August 8, 1950 in Dunkirk, N.Y. to the late James B. Buckley, Sr. and Marilyn Reid Buckley. He grew up in the Laona area and graduated from Fredonia High School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972, serving in Germany as a Helicopter Mechanic. Jamie began a working career as a Truck Driver with the railroad in 1968, retiring from CSX Railroad in 2004.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jamie was a loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and the New York Yankees. He was a member of the Beaver Club, Fredonia American Legion Memorial Post 59, Moniuszko Club, the Kosciuszko Club and a former member of Dom Polski.

Jamie is survived by: his wife, Barbra (Busenlehner) Buckley; his son: Shannon J. Van Meer of Dunkirk, N.Y.; 3 grandchildren: Sawyer, Curtis and Adeline Van Meer; 2 brothers: Tim (Debra) Buckley of Laona, and Tom (Kathy) Buckley of Fredonia; also survived by nieces and nephews and his canine companion "Puppy."
