Javier Soto Roldan, 17, of Dunkirk, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014.
Javier was born June 4, 1997 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of Misael Soto and Carmen E. Soto.
He was an excellent son, brother and friend to everyone. Javier was loved by many people in the community. He recently started his senior year at Dunkirk High School. An outstanding runner, he excelled in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track and field. He also participated in football. Javier was a newspaper carrier for the Observer for many years.
Besides his parents, Javier is survived by his brothers: Raul Serrano, Kevin Morales, Giovany Soto, Misael Soto, Jr. of N. J. and Joseph Soto, of N.J.; his sisters: Isamar Massini and Leslie Soto; he is also survived by many cousins.
Calls may be made at the family residence, 159 King St., Dunkirk, Sunday from 1-5 p.m. As per the family wishes, there is no funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
