David E. Grant, age 53, of Virginia Beach, formerly of the Brocton, Jamestown, Dunkirk area, before he moved to Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
He was born Feb. 7, 1961 to the late John and Jean Grant. He is survived by his daughter, Ricki Ecker of Dunkirk and 3 grandchildren; sisters Ruth Grant (Bill) Klopf of S. Dayton, Donna Whitcomb of Fredonia, Elizabeth (Robert) Wickham and Rebecca Grant Fisher, both of Dunkirk; brothers John Whitcomb, of Fredonia, Joseph Grant of Dunkirk, Michael Grant of Fredonia, and Daniel Grant of Dunkirk; several nieces and nephews from Jamestown and Dunkirk, and cousins. The main person who was there in Virginia for David was Joyce Bigelow Thomas and her husband. Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Christopher.
Calls may be made Saturday, October 25 from 10-11 a.m. at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, N.Y. where a funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Arrangements by David J. Dengler.
