Mark R. Wing, age 53, of Richardson Road passed away early Saturday morning October 25, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at the end of State Route 438 and Buffalo Street in the Town of Collins.
Mark was born January 20, 1961 in Gowanda one of a set of twins born to Richard and Shirley (Smith) Wing of Collins.
A member of the Gowanda Free Methodist Church, Mark was very active and enjoyed being a part of the church choir with his mother and father.
Besides his parents, Mark is survived by his daughter Lauren N. Wing of Gowanda, along with his former wife Sheri (Hussey). Mark is also survived by a brother, Randy (Jackie) Wing of Gowanda and two sisters, Sandy (Kevin) Stephens of Cattaraugus and Shari (Lisa) Wing of Cape Vincent, NY. Nephews, Neil (Casey) of Springville, Bryan of Gowanda and niece, Jennifer (Casey) Jones of Collins along with his great nephew, Christopher.
Mark was preceded in death by his son, Colton R. Wing, who passed away April 14, 2002.
Friends may call at the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St., Gowanda, NY (716) 532-4200 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the Gowanda Free Methodist Church, 149 West Main St., Gowanda (assemble at church). Interment in the Cottage Cemetery. Pastor's Jeff Bel-linger and Brett Davis will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Free Methodist Church, 149 West Main St., Gowanda, NY 14070 or to a charity of one's choice.
