William H. "Bill" Leach, Sr., 65, of 3711 Lake Shore Drive East, Lot 30 in Dunkirk, formerly of Westfield, died on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. He was born on May 8, 1949 in Westfield, the son of the late Wilson and Violet Hess Leach.
Bill was a graduate of Westfield Academy Central School in 1968, and had worked for the Village of Westfield Electric Department for 30 years.
He was a member of the Westfield Moose #118 and the Westfield American Legion.
Bill's greatest love in life was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Perdue Leach, whom he married on June 17, 1972 in Mayville; three children, Wilson (Jen) Leach, Jr., Brandon (Kim) Leach and Leighanne (Martin) Swoger; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Leach, Catherine Riforgiata, Christin Tibbetts, Amber Campaign, Brittany Campaign, Kalishia Swoger and Elizabeth Swoger; one great-grandchild, Londyn Wilmont; three sisters, Shirley (Jim) Sanderson, Sandy Leach and Lynnell Ellis; and one brother, Steven Leach. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Sharon Seiter.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
