Florence F. Byczynski

Florence "Flo" Byczynski (Worosz), 89 years, passed away peacefully Saturday (Feb. 21, 2015) at the Chautauqua County Home with her family at her side.

Flo was the daughter of the late Felix "Zip" and Belle (Jesse) Worosz.

Flo was a loving mother to six children: Reva J., Rebecca J., Michael (Suzy) and Phillip Byczynski, all of Dunkirk, Nicholas (Roszlyn) Byczynski, of Dover, PA, and Rae (Thomas) Zajas, of Las Vegas, NV.

And her loving Aunt Dorothy Cuddahee of Willaimsville.

She was the fun grandma to her six grandchildren: Dr. Steven (Elizabeth) Christopher, Robin Christopher, Jessica Wuerstle, Nick (Tracy) Byczynski Jr., Christopher Byczynski, and Michael Byczynski Jr.

Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Corinna, Sydney, Luke Christopher, Jesse Sack, Braelynn Muniz, Samantha, Zachary, Michaela, Alexis, and Gienellie Byczynski; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ella Byczynski.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Raymond J. "Bike" Byczynski, who died Sept. 7, 2001; her sister, Patricia (Pat) Port; her brother, Frederick (Fritz) Worosz, and most recently her daughter, Renee J. McCloskey, who died Feb. 3, 2015.

She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a homemaker and cared deeply for her family.

Flo had many friends and at one time, was active in bowling leagues, card clubs and golfing. She enjoyed traveling to Florida with friends and especially loved to stay with her daughter in Las Vegas and going to the casinos to play cards. She loved to sing the "blues" and never missed an opportunity to dance.

Known for her beautiful smile, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

"JUST GO WITH THE FLO," as she would always say.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Wednesday, February 25 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 24 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Columban's on the Lake.
