Lawrence L. "Larry" Korzenieski, 61, of Fredonia died Monday morning, February 23, 2015 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, following a brave battle with cancer. He was born on March 2, 1953 in Dunkirk, son of the late Leo and Loretta (Panfil) Korzeniewski.
A graduate of Dunkirk High School, Larry retired from Ellman's Garage, where he had worked for over 40 years. His memberships included Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish, Kosciuszko Club, Moniuszko Club, Dom Polski Club, 1st Ward Falcon Club and the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club. He was a life member of the NRA. Larry enjoyed working with his hands, was an avid hunter, NASCAR and overall MOPAR enthusiast.
Surviving is his companion, Darleen Jagoda of Fredonia. Sons Timothy (Stacy Flitt) Korzenieski of Dunkirk and Matthew Korzenieski of Austin, TX; stepchildren Jennifer Olow of Fredonia, Matthew Jagoda of Dunkirk; brother Fred (Nancy) Korzenieski of Hilton, NY; along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life at the Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins Street in Dunkirk on Sunday, March 1 from 2-6 p.m.
