Patrick T. Pacos, 58, of Dunkirk died Thursday afternoon (July 23, 2015) at ECMC in Buffalo.
He was born in Dunkirk on May 3, 1957, the son of Dorothy (Korzeniewski) Pacos of Dunkirk and the late Michael E. Pacos. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1975.
Mr. Pacos worked diligently alongside his mother, father, brothers and sister as Vice President of Pacos Construction Company of Dunkirk.
Patrick spent his whole life proudly servicing the Dunkirk/Fredonia community via the family business performing paving, excavating, concrete construction and accident recovery.
Mr. Pacos was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 929.
He enjoyed helping others out in times of need; you could always count on him when you needed a hand with a job, big or small. He had an interest in antique trucks and heavy equipment, classic cars and aviation. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. He was a man that could never sit still, always moving, always doing something, and when you could get him to sit still he would tell you some wild stories of his younger days.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three sons, Matthew (Lauren) Pacos, Nicholas Pacos and Kenneth Pacos, all of Dunkirk; two brothers, James (Linda) Pacos of FuquaVarina, NC and Dr. Andrew Pacos of Wake Forest, NC; sister Paulette Pacos of Dunkirk and several nieces and nephews. Patrick was also the proud grandfather of one granddaughter, Madison Pacos.
Besides his father, Patrick was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Dennis Pacos.
