Phyllis A. Ivett of Cottage Road, South Dayton passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, May 16, 2016 at home. Born August 10, 1942 in Buffalo, the daughter of Robert and Betty (Sieber) Salisbury.
Phyllis married Lloyd Ivett on December 5, 1984. Lloyd survives.
Phyllis attended the South Dayton Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the South Dayton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Cottage Grange. She attended sewing and quilting bees and enjoyed quilting for family and friends, putting love in every stitch. Phyllis retired from the kitchen of the former JN Adam Developmental Center in Perrysburg.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Christina) Fisher, Sr. of Cattaraugus; grandchildren, Derik France, Kenneth Jr. and Anthony and Zachary Fisher; and two brothers, George and Thomas. Phyllis is also survived by Lloyd's children, Roy, Roger, Randy, Sharon, Bruce, Diane and Bryon Ivett; along with Lloyd's grndchildren, who considered Phyllis their grandmother.
Friends may call at the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St., Gowanda (716) 532-4200 from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 20. Services will be held Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. in the Villanova Cemetery, Cemetery Road, South Dayton (please gather at the cemetery). Rev. Matthew Wittenbrook will officiate. Memorials may be made to a local charity of one's choice.
