Ann M. Ardillo of Dunkirk died Monday morning, January 9, 2017 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk. She was born in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah (Polvino) Casale.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Ann was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She was the former proprietor of Casale & Co. Plumbing and Heating in Dunkirk.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, American Legion Post No. 62, and the Carl Vincent Society. An avid bowler and golfer, Ann also belonged to the Shorewood Country Club and various bowling and golfing leagues in the area.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Bradley, Patricia (Gary) Sobilo and Joan (Gregory) Catalano, all of Dunkirk; one sister, Rose (Frederick Sr.) Maenza of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Bradley, Emily (Winston) Woodard, Joshua (Kelsey) Sobilo, and Lucas and Rebecca Catalano; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rocco Ardillo.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered for her loving and giving nature.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Thursday, January 12 at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 11 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum of Holy Trinity Cemetery.
