Nancy L. Rickman, 75, of the Country Estates, East Randolph, formerly of Cherry Creek, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. She was born February 17, 1942 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of the late James Ward Rickman and Nanna Stump Rickman.
Nancy attended Clay High School in Toledo and retired from Cherry Creek Wood Crafters in Cherry Creek. In earlier years, she worked at the former South Dayton Canning Factory and at the former Aolean Piano Plate Factory in Randolph.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Randolph Golden Keys and the Randolph Senior Nutrition Program. She was also a member of the former Randolph Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, quilting, doing crossword puzzles, shopping and sewing.
Nancy is survived by three children, Ralph (Amy) Crawford of Silver Creek, Nancy (Tim) Pfeiffer of Jamestown and Francine (Lynn) Emley of Conewango Valley; five grandchildren, Trevor Crawford, Trishalynn Sonnekalb, Jillian Kaczar, Matthew Pfeiffer and Samantha Smith; and four great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by four stepchildren, Lillian Crawford, James Crawford and John Crawford, all of Jamestown, and David Crawford of Ohio.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, September 22 in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, where services will follow at noon. The Rev. Aaron Patterson, family friend, will officiate.
