Betty J. Logan, 90, of Dunkirk passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born on November 11, 1927 in Paden City, WV, the daughter of the late Ola (Huffman) and Owen Medley.
A resident of Dunkirk since 1945, Betty was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church, Dunkirk Women of the Moose, Brocton-Portland Seniors, and the Sheridan Happy Seniors, where she served as president for three years.
She also served as secretary of the Town of Sheridan Zoning Board from 1974 to 2009 and was a member of the Sheridan Historical Society.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Logan, Jr., whom she married May 29, 1948 and who died May 4, 1994. Survivors include three sons, Donald James (Brenda) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Thomas William (Linda) of Dunkirk and Jeffrey Allen (Karen) of Oxford, MI; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22 at 11:00 AM in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Pastor Molly T. Golando will officiate. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 AM, two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sheridan United Methodist Church.
